Frankfurt, Germany
27 January 2014
Hosted By: DRRT
The restrictive treatment of foreign investors and of foreign securities in US class actions has led to a host of loss recovery actions outside the US in a new era of global investor protection. These new class actions bring with them new financial and procedural concepts, which seldom fit into established systems and policies of institutional investors. This annual DRRT conference, held in Frankfurt on 27-28 January 2014, examined the differences between the US opt-out class action system and relevant non-US investor loss recovery jurisdictions around the world. On the first day of the conference, NERA Senior Consultant Timothy McKenna presented "Statistical Developments in US and Non-US Securities Litigation."
